EXAMPLE: FICTITIOUS COMPANY

This is the report as a customer receives it, for a company that does not exist. Voorbeeldbedrijf B.V. is fictitious, but every figure is calculated by the same module that produces real reports, on a constructed answer set.

Summary

43 749

156.7
  • Employees drive 43 749 car trips alone per year, and EUR 206 234 of their own money goes to variable car costs.
  • Largest opportunity: 54 employees could realistically switch away from the car (2 to 20 km commute, no pick-up constraint).
  • Recommended first measure: carpooling scheme. 36.8 % of the employees who could realistically switch away from the car point to it themselves.

Method and data

Based on 168 responses from 240 reported employees (70 %), collected anonymously, and never computed from fewer than 5 responses. Estimates from public sources are marked [E]. Computed under GHG Protocol category 7 (distance-based method). The employee count is the one you provided at ordering: this report does not include a register cross-check. CO₂ figures use the Dutch national emission factor list (fleet average per vehicle kilometre, maintained by Rijkswaterstaat and Stichting Stimular). The report contains no absence potential in money: no official rate exists in your country for the cost of an absence day, and we omit a figure rather than use an industry number without a documented method. The absence picture is reported in days instead, from what respondents stated themselves.

The confidence level is computed automatically from the response rate and cannot be overridden, by you or by us: VERIFIED from 65 %, MEDIUM from 40 %, INDICATIVE below that. This is exactly why the number is worth something. Lerka does not issue a label and does not certify: what you can show externally is the number, the response rate and the method, with the measurement date.

Figures marked [E] are estimates: modelled from public sources or derived from answer bands, never direct measurements (the factor table accompanies the method). Unmarked figures are measured in your own survey.

WPM data annex

The figures below can be read directly into your own WPM report (werkgebonden personenmobiliteit): commuting kilometres per mode of transport, the kilometres driven alone by car, split per fuel, and lease kilometres separated out. The annex covers the commuting part: business travel lives in your own travel and lease systems and is not included.

The rest of the report comes with the purchase

  • The potential: how many employees can realistically leave the car at home, with a calibrated expectation interval.
  • The barrier picture and the barrier to possible measure table, built on the employees' own answers.
  • The action plan: 3 to 5 prioritised measures with expected effect, a suggested target for the next measurement, and measurement method.
